ABOUT US

Ngā Uri o Maikuku rāua ko Huatakaroa 1891 Trust (NUOMRKH) was established to honour the dreams and aspirations of our tūpuna, Maikuku and Huatakaroa, for the wellbeing of their many descendants. We exist to strengthen whānau and hapū by upholding tikanga, protecting our cultural legacy, and creating opportunities that enhance health, education, and community resilience.

Guided by the principles of tika (justice and fairness), pono (integrity and truth), aroha (compassion and generosity), kaitiakitanga (guardianship of Te Ao Mārama), and manaakitanga (care and hospitality), we ensure that every kaupapa we undertake reflects the values handed down by our ancestors.

We serve our beneficiaries by addressing immediate needs — such as housing support, relief of poverty, and whānau services — while also investing in long-term aspirations like cultural revitalisation, hapū development, and community empowerment.

As the charitable arm of Te Tii (Waitangi) B3 Trust, NUOMRKH works alongside our marae, hapū, and partners to ensure that the legacy of Maikuku and Huatakaroa continues to grow strong, visible, and impactful for generations to come.
