Chairperson
Wiremu Tane
Wiremu leads with integrity and a deep sense of responsibility to the whakapapa of Maikuku and Huatakaroa. Grounded in the values of tika, pono, and kaitiakitanga, he brings strong governance experience and a clear vision for strengthening whānau wellbeing and hapū self-determination. His leadership reflects both strategy and service — ensuring that NUOMRKH’s decisions are transparent, culturally grounded, and directed toward long-term community impact.

Trustee
Ngati Rangi Tawhiao
Ngāti Rangi brings decades of experience in Māori education, governance, and community development. His career has spanned roles in early childhood education, tertiary training, Māori broadcasting, and public service — all guided by the belief that knowledge, culture, and opportunity must be accessible to all whānau. His leadership continues to shape NUOMRKH’s focus on empowering future generations through culturally informed, sustainable growth.

Trustee
Amiria Te Whiu
Amiria is our residential priest at Waitangi with deep spiritual and pastoral leadership grounded in manaakitanga and community care. Strong experience with the Salvation Army supporting whānau wellbeing and social needs. Leadership grounded in love for whenua, whakapapa, and sacred history. Brings commitment to uplifting whānau, ensuring fair access to health, cultural, and educational services, and values-led decision-making that honours tikanga and wairua.

Kimberley Gupta nee William
Kimberley brings a strong grounding in whakapapa, whānau connection and community service. Raised around marae, kōhanga, kura kaupapa and whānau-led kaupapa, she is passionate about making whakapapa knowledge accessible and supporting whānau to reconnect with identity, whenua and each other. Kimberley also brings a clear interest in funding and capability-building, with a focus on helping whānau and community kaupapa move forward.

Tana Apiata
Tana comes to us with strong expertise in infrastructure, asset management, and facility development. Co-founder and chair of a local waka ama club with extensive leadership experience across sport, community, and kaupapa-driven organisations. Deeply grounded in Te Ao Māori, community engagement, and stakeholder relationships. Brings facility development expertise, project delivery capability, and strong cultural grounding to support housing and economic resilience initiatives.

Administrator
Anita Tipene
Anita ensures the daily operations of NUOMRKH run smoothly and with integrity. She is the vital link between trustees, partners, and whānau — coordinating communication, managing funding processes, and supporting the implementation of strategic kaupapa. With a background in administration and communications, Anita approaches her role with aroha and professionalism, helping to turn the Trust’s vision into action.
